VSACs
Gesture-Controlled Speech

Wearable Speech Device

VoiceSign Arm Coms (VSACs) – pronounced “vuh-sacks” – are a breakthrough, patent-pending communication tool designed for people who can hear yet have difficulty speaking. These lightweight, wearable devices convert hand movements, whether full signs or simple gestures, into audible speech.

What Makes VSACs Unique?

  1. Gesture-to-Speech Technology
    • VSACs detect intentional hand motions and translate them into speech. Each gesture can trigger a single word, a phrase, or even a full sentence – spoken aloud in the user’s preferred language. The system is fully customizable, so users or caregivers can define which gestures are recognized and what the spoken output will be.
  2. Comfortable, Custom-Fit Design
    • VSACs are made with soft textile wraps that adapt to any hand size and preserve full fine-motor function. Users can wear just the wrist portion or include one or more fingers based on their needs—ensuring all-day comfort and flexibility.
  3. Integrated Training
    • The software includes engaging, game-based learning tools that:
      • Teach signs and gestures
      • Provide visual and audio feedback
      • Track vocabulary growth, motor accuracy, and milestones.
    • These features allow users to expand their vocabulary at their own pace while caregivers and therapists monitor skill development and progress.
